• Raised in the American South by old money parents, Cali spent the first 18 years of her life a spoiled brat. Even through the arduous World War II, she spent most of her time enjoying the finer things in life, unaffected by rationing and wartime efforts, but ready to rebel any chance she got. Her parents were unhappily married and fought frequently, leading to a generally unhappy home life with an absent father and an overbearing and cruel mother.
• After estranging herself from her parents, she worked throughout the late 1940s and into the 1950s as a pinup model until a scandal with a low level political official made her front page news. It was incidentally how she was discovered by her Sire, Nic. She was turned with the intent of being a plaything, but her loyalty earned her a respected spot in the nest.
• Decidedly hardened by her experiences up to that point, Caliope has remained emotionally unavailable; the only exception being an ongoing fling with her Sire which resulted in a close friendship.
• Typically perceived as air-headed, clumsy and weak, Caliope's strength lies in deception. Her weakness lies in her temper and inability to control it, still a spoiled brat almost a century later.
• Often seen smoking. Generally pretty friendly, but will still eat you. Prefers feeding on women, but takes great pleasure in the challenge of taking down men larger than herself. Frequently treats feeding like a sport. Has adapted well culturally, likely due to her young age.
• Has managed to retain much of her humanity. Partially because she is so young but also because she frequently feeds outside of her nest, rarely feeding on the members of it.
