Harry Longfoot - WR Ranger

There are a lot of strange stories or legends surrounding, Wailing Rock, now they are called Urban legends. Folks tell the tales around bonfires, social gatherings, frat parties and etc,.. But, there just stories and legends.. Aren't they?

His full name at birth is Harold Francis Longfoot, But he goes by Harry Longfoot, just Harry Longfoot. His great grandmother was one of the early settlers to Wailing Rock, and there is some interesting family history there. It would seem for a time there was an influx of bats, or, Vampires to the area, and the local coven of Witches didn't take kindly to losing family members in such a manner. Harry's grandmother and a some of the other Witches, stepped forward and agreed to utilize the Lycan ritual. By having the ability to turn, they were able to cull the vampires, stabilize and bring some balance to the living situation for the island, the locals in town, as well as the settlers in the deep woods, and, the 'others' too. The one draw back to the Lycan ritual is that, for some, once its in the blood, its always in the blood, and there was a good chance children and grandchildren would carry that bloodline; but it needed to be done and everyone agreed on this.

Harry is one of the family members from his grandmothers lineage that was lucky enough to have that blood, or unlucky, not everyone handles it very well. Some go mad with the rage and end up being shot down, some take their own lives for fear of being hunted or consumed, or passing the blood on to their children, there can be a heavy depression as well. Not with Harry though, his grandfather also had the blood, and started Harry off on the right foot, if you will, from an early age. Harry's parents were killed in a house fire accident, so his grandfather was his legal guardian from the age of nine (this history as well as his great grandmother would be found in old town records). Harry finished schooling on Wailing Rock and at nineteen, left the Island to pursue his studies on the mainland, four years later after graduation he took a job and got himself a sweet girlfriend too. Everything seemed like a normal life, but alas, the blood began to stir, more-so than it had ever done. Harry found himself out late on the full moons, not sleeping so well at night in general, this unfortunately lead to the break up between he and his girl. It affected Harry's job as well, he was a high end salesman at one of the local furniture stores, but his thoughts and focus just weren't there anymore, and he ended up losing his job due to low sales.

Finally Harry sat down and did some serious thinking, he knew he needed a change, he needed to get back home, back to his roots in the land; and after some research and effort, he found the perfect job. So off he went to another three years of schooling to become the local Ranger. All the scents of town and the forest triggered him something fierce, and every once in awhile his bones would crack as they try to take shape into the Lycan, but Harry had some control of it, at least he did now, the Lycan was strong but he had to be stronger mentally to keep the triggers from awakening that Lycan. And so, Harry is now your friendly, local country Ranger, always at the beck and call of the local citizens, and always keeping an eye out for anything that seemed shady or of interest; but for the most part, life is life, and he had his own to deal with, just like everyone else... Life goes on.

** Harry is good a natured country boy, easy to get along with. He drinks a lot of coffee, due to his sleeping habits, or lack of sleeping at nights, especially around the full moon. He loves to sketch wildlife, even if everything seems to resemble a potato like critter, but, he's getting better. For you night owls on the coast, you might see him out late at night surfing the mellow waves, or just sitting on the waters. **

Yea, Harry has a soundtrack too, some 'HARRY CONTENT' that flows within him at any given moment.
