APPEARANCE
Kiyomi is anything but the traditional looking Japanese girl. She has long jet black hair that flows like the peaceful pond in the most zen garden where you'd find the most colorful blossoms, like her rosey cheeks in spring or her jade eyes that could have you hypnotized like the breeze that blows through the trees. Kiyomi's frame taller and curvier than the normal girls she lived with, would have you wondering if she was straight out of a manga book or a man's wildest fantasy.
PERSONALITY
Bold : Kiyomi's tongue is sometimes sharper than a samarai's sword and sometimes her very own nails.
Friendly : Kiyomi isn't all that heartless, I mean it maybe dead and unbeating but she's not heartless to a kind smile or a sweet conversation.
Witty : Ah yes, she can tell a good joke, make a quick remark or even a sarcastic one. Either way, Kiyomi will keep you on your toes.
Stubborn : It comes with the years she's spent in ever changing and modernizing of the world around her. Don't get her wrong, she knows when it's good to grow and when to hold to traditions.
CHARACTER STRENGTHS
Book Smart - Kiyomi has learned over the years that sometimes you can find the easiest of answers by opening a book, a web link or even a text from really old friends. She's like a virtual library
Creative - She was well trained in the arts of entertainment. Making clients feel happy, needed/wanted, all while enjoying music, poetry, art, etc. Kiyomi lived through the Geisha era and learned it all and fell in love with it.
Cooperative - Though Kiyomi likes to work alone some times, it never hurts to have a team.
Honest - Blunt would probably be the better word. Kiyomi has no problem in telling the truth, especially when she has to lie about one thing the rest of her days.
CHARACTER WEAKNESSES
The Sun - It's more like an allergy, kind of break out in hives and then go up in smoke and become a pile of dust.
A Good Party - Kiyomi grew up entertaining people, so why shouldn't she be living it up at a party or a ball some where?
Curiosity - You can't blame her, she's seen many different races over the years. Some good, some bad, some interesting....some dangerous. She just wants to know things.
Blood - Count her out of working anywhere near blood. She's gone a few binges over time, but they were mostly over break ups.
Interracial Relationships - Kiyomi can sometimes be the die hard romantic, but has always found it very interesting to date outside of her own race. Even if she knows the other race may have a shorter life span compared to hers.

BACKGROUND STORY
Kiyomi ( meaning "pure and beautiful" ) Imanaka ( old Samarai family ) was born into a well respected Japanese family that severed the emperor faithfully for many years. Though it was after the samarai era that Kiyomi was born, her family still carried great honor to their name. Some say they were well known for their grand strategy through battles. She was raised to be the submissive future wife of a well titled family one day, but it was thanks to her brother that she learned more of the military tactic and the way their family had always strategized weather in battle or in life.
Though one side of the family had broken through one era, Kiyomi was soon pushed into another. The era of the Geisha ( a Japanese hostess trained to entertain men with conversation, dance, and song.)
Unforeseen circumstances had forced the hand of her parents to hide her in an Okiya ( An okiya is the lodging house in which a maiko or geisha lives during the length of her nenki, or contract or career as a geisha. A young woman's first step toward becoming a geisha is to be accepted into an okiya, a geisha house owned by the woman who will pay for her training.) in Kyoto, Japan. She was still a child to most and she did not know what was happening. Kiyomi's new guardians were paid well for seeing after her, training her and molding her into someone different than what her family would have dreamed for her. See the reason she was forced into this new life was because the one who she was to marry some day, his father was a sick and twisted man. He offered to take her in and show her the ways of a wife, which also meant her duties in the bedroom. Her father had caught word on the wind and was furies but when the two houses began to argue, threats were made. Some that caused deaths in the most sliest ways. They thought it would be better to hide Kiyomi in Kyoto, where she could learn and grow, maybe even find a new life that did not tie her to such a sick man.
Years had gone by and Kiyomi had finished her last party as a Maiko (A maiko (舞妓, MY-koh ) is an apprentice geisha in Kyoto and Western Japan. Their jobs consist of performing songs, dances, and playing the shamisen or other traditional Japanese instruments for visitors during ozashiki. ) and was promoted which the message was delivered by her onesan ( meaning 'older sister' ). She was excited and proud that she had done well in her studies - one would hope she was doing her family proud. She had not heard from them since a letter from her brother was received in the fall before her 18th birthday. He continued to encourage her in her studies and to do the family proud. Though the end of her letter was mysterious and she didn't understand what he meant when he said "stay pure as a snowflake. " and that was the last she had heard. It was now aki ( 秋 - Autumn/Fall ) and the lady of the Okiya had decided to throw a party, like a coming of age to celebrate Kiyomi's new title as Geisha. It started on a cool afternoon when a very highly respected Japanese man in the banking industry called upon her to see kouyou ( 紅葉 - literally translation: ‘crimson leaves’ – although it can describe yellow and gold leaves too. aka the changing of the leaves.) Kiyomi, walked with him and spoke about the beauty of aki and how the colors warmed her heart though the breeze was cool. Poetic and yet true, when she had opened her wagasa ( 和傘 わがさ - Japanese umbrella ) and placed it over her shoulder, she thought she had seen something in the corner of her eye in the garden but shook it off as she took the arm of the banker.
Before the evening festivities began, Kiyomi found herself lost in thought under the purple weeping willow tree. One of two on her families crest. It helped to keep her centered over time. She was so lost in time she did not realized it had gotten darker and the lanterns were lit... but there it was again, she noticed something move swiftly out of the corner of her eye. She slowly looked from one end to the next and she refused to ask into the night 'who was there?' so she quickly made her way into the gathering. Kiyomi was gifted a few new things such as her new kimono ( a long, loose robe with wide sleeves and tied with a sash, originally worn as a formal garment in Japan and now also used elsewhere as a robe. ) which had gold details among the rich purple flowers. Her hair adorn with a new hair pieces, one with a gold stem and hanging soft white flowers, the other was like a comb with a willow tree design in white jade. Kiyomi no longer had to wear the heavy make up of her maiko days, but tonight she had soft colored eye shadow to highlight her mysterious purple ones and a touch of rosy blush. In her simplicity she was still complimented as the most beautiful, to which she was courteous... until a foreigner who was brought by the banker she had walked with earlier in the day with, he was brought to her and her onesan for introductions and greetings. There her mysterious lavender eyes were suddenly caught in ocean blue eyes... eyes of water... water that could forge new paths and change direction at any time.
There was a moment that Kiyomi found herself being stuck and unable to escape such eyes, that she had to excuse herself for fresh air and she retreated back to her weeping willow tree. Where she sat on a bench, only to be startled by the haunting blue eyes from earlier. Mr. Matteo Romano, who was in Japan to do business... what kind of business, no one ever said.
Kiyomi was without words hypnotized and she could only nod, taking his hand and she could only recall being pinned to the tree with a sharp sting to her neck where he had buried his face. She had fallen unconscious, only remembering his eyes and hearing whispers such as, 'You are strong...You will no longer need this life... I will be yours...' The next time Kiyomi awoke she heard her onesan crying because she had found her under the willow tree, her kimono collar soaked in blood. Then it was like she blacked out and woke up again to screaming and the smell of crimson blood as well smoke from a fire. The Okiya was on fire! She staggered getting up from the group, placing her hand on her favorite willow tree, when she noticed the blood on her hands and her onesan laying lifeless on the ground near where she had been. When she saw people running out of the house and people laid limp bleeding from their necks. She screamed, afraid.... afraid she had done it.... afraid she was to blame.... afraid she was a demon ( according to Japanese culture )...
Fast forward 26 and a half decades later, Kiyomi had gone through some rough days. The one that broke her was the first time in what felt like ages when she crossed paths with Matteo and everything felt like a fairy tale like a fucked up one. Especially when she discovered that Matteo changed her and that there was another, very jealous Russian vampire named Alexandra. She started the chaos that happened the night Kiyomi was changed. At the time Kiyomi didn't even know Matteo and Alexandra were a couple. She was heartbroken all over again... which was the first time she blacked out and went into a blood rage and caused a whole small town to become a ghost town overnight. The next time she caused such a horrific scene was the night she crossed paths with Alexandra Kuznetsov. And that started as a game to get back at her for Matteo, but eventually her enhanced beauty as a vampire made her Geisha ways even more enchanting to the human men that Alexandra use to hunt upon. Kiyomi made it worth every torturing second before she and Alexandra got into the fight of the century, but to both women's surprise the one who broke it up was none other than Matteo Romano. Needless to say that night left a very bloody mess, Alexandra had accidentally killed Matteo in the crossfire. Grief stuck sent one woman blaming the other and the other on the run from a lie.
It's been quiet for some time now but Kiyomi moved from Boston, Massachusetts - her last location before an old friend of Alexandra's started to poke around with questions. Kiyomi thought it best to move to a new, safe location after she had secured protection from a witch she made friends with while she was laying low. Kiyomi had heard the many stories over the years on how the two were enemies to their races, but she made it known that it was not her fight. Especially when her un-beating heart had been breaking over and over to the sweetest nightmares of ocean eyes.
Here she was catching her last connecting flight from Dallas Fort Worth,Texas after she made a deliver for her friend to Louisiana, important coven business apparently. Kiyomi made it to her gate and exhaled as she boarded in time to fly to Seattle, Washington. From there she'd taxi to the ferry where she'd soon make her way to a new beginning, maybe one she could find her peace in.
