Occupation: Home Health Nurse/Part-time RN at GWMF

Background: Megan grew up in Spokane. She lived a relatively happy life with her parents and followed in her mother's footsteps to become a nurse. Because her parents wanted her to live a "normal" life, they refused to acknowledge her magical abilities as well as their own. They feared judgement and ridicule. So, Megan grew up not knowing that the reason strange things happened to her was because she was a witch.
After graduation, Megan received a letter from her Great Aunt Agnes, who needed live-in care. Unbeknownst to Megan, her aunt was a practicing witch of decent power and skill and wished that her great niece carry on the family's magical legacy. Of course, Megan's parents knew this and did not want their daughter to go to Wailing Rock. But, since Megan had already graduated from college, she insisted on going, wanting to begin a life of her own.
She relocated to Wailing Rock and moved into her aunt's large, ghostly Victorian nestled in the woods at the edge of town. There, she was introduced to her magical abilities. This was much to her parents' dismay, of course. Megan, on the other hand, was excited and happy to finally have answers about her oddities.
She now has begun practicing magic.
Dear Diary,
This is probably just as strange for you as it is for me. I know I haven't written in you since I was a kid, but here I am. Did you miss me? I bet you're wondering why I'm here again after all this time. Well, I'll tell you.
I need you.
There is so much going on in my life right now that I need to write it down to keep it all sorted out.
First, there is the move from Spokane to Wailing Rock. It's been alright. I got a job at the local medical facility in conjunction with taking care of Aunty Agnes. I like it. The people there are nice and welcoming. Last night, I helped the surgeon, her name is Dr. Lillian Ryder, save the life of a patient. Crazy right!?! I've never been an OR nurse before. I mean, I have OR training in the case of an emergency, but I never thought I would need it. Ha! Well, it was an emergency, of course. Dr. Kilroy was our patient actually. Insane right!? No one knows how he got so beat up either. So, now I'm in charge of caring for him as he recovers. Maybe I'll find out how in the hell he got so damaged. Maybe...
Anyway, I found a really great coffee shop too. I get a latte' there almost every morning. They have amazing muffins too! And the pizzeria in town is amazing too. Probably the best pizza I have ever tasted! Wailing Rock really isn't too bad a place to live.
But... there are some strange things that happen around here. For example, there is this local bar called The Komrade. I've been in there a few times. Well, I guess the guy that owns the place is missing. The woman that owns the pizza shop told me when I was in there ordering pizza for Aunt Agnes and myself. Odd...
There's a lot of political stuff going on. An election coming up. I haven't really kept up with all of it, but I am pretty sure that it may have something to do with the disappearance of that bar owner. Why do I think that? Well, because I am pretty sure I met him when I first went into The Komrade, and he had some pretty strong opinions about the local politics. Then BOOM! He's gone! Hmmmm... Which is why I plan on avoiding the politics of this place.
Anyway! I am still working on this magic stuff that Aunt Agnes has been showing me. She gave me several old books about it. I guess they have been in our family for generations. Pretty strange but wonderful stuff in those books. I'm not too bad at some of the spells, particularly the healing ones. I cut my hand cooking the other day and used a spell to heal it. The wound is gone but, oddly enough, still stings from time to time like its still there. I'll have to practice more, I think.
Alright, well! I think that's it for right now. I'm kind of getting hungry! Until we meet again old friend! So long for now.
Please don’t stay here and linger any longer.
The air is cold, and the clouds are low.
I know the stars are shining even brighter
(With you here) But it’s time to go.
Because I’m afraid
that there’s something taking hold of me.
Something like love.
I think, and it makes me want to believe…
Maybe it was the moon.
Maybe it was tonight.
Something in the sky,
Something in the light.
It’s pulling us like the tide.
I know you feel it too.
Maybe it was the kiss.
Maybe it was the moon.
I’m pretty sure I’d do something crazy,
Like a wolf heeding the lunar call.
Because I feel my head getting hazy,
And I feel like I’m about to fall.
Maybe it was the moon.
Maybe it was tonight.
Something in the sky,
Something in the light.
It’s pulling us like the tide.
I know you feel it too.
Maybe it was the kiss.
Maybe it was the moon.
Maybe it was the kiss…
Maybe it was the moon.
