Personality: Ruka can come off aloof and distant. She mostly does keep to herself unless she has to speak or is spoken to, but will eventually be more talkative after getting to know people and be more herself. Only being cautious cause of being an Empath.

Background: Ruka is a 28 year old half Native American and African witch that was born in New Orleans. At the age of 8, she began seeing magic and feeling it as well as seeing spirits. This lead to her grandmother teaching her about magic and learning to control it, feeling she would be quite powerful later down the years. After years of practicing and controlling, by 18 she was proficient enough but still had learning to do..but she was quite strong. She was born with Heterochromia, which is quite rare in her family line. She see's magic very vividly and in colors, which may explain the rare heterochromia.
Only one other had Heterochromia, which was an ancestor. It was said in their family that having heterochromia would make seeing magic very vivid and in different color spectrum like auras. Downside is that they suffer headaches and couldn't always have their eyes open for long periods of time as it strains. Fortunately or unfortunately, Ruka indeed inherited the trait.
Hitting adulthood, her grandma passed down her Ancient Grimoire that had been in the family for centuries feeling Ruka was strong enough to guard it and use it properly. Ruka continued living in New Orleans, studying and practicing, her abilities becoming stronger as she awakened into a Seer and has the skill of being a Medium as well. She decided to move from her home to Wailing Rock, WA for a change of pace and at the suggestion of her grandma, in hopes that her abilities could possibly be of aid to others and likely find a coven and her familiars if she so chose to have one.
Strengths: She can use the elements, the one strongest being Water and Air with Earth as it helps with her abilities of a Seer and the fact she's also an Empath and Medium.
Weakness: While quite powerful and has quite the powerful aura, it is because of that..that she can likely attract danger when it is not supressed. She also gets overwhelmed if she uses her abilities, taking a few days to a week to recover depending how much she's used. Her seeing magic very vividly and in colors is also a weakness due to the headaches, hence she wears special glasses to try to minimize the headaches and fatigue..but it isn't enough sometimes and is the reason for taking a week to recover.
Likes: Ruka likes sweets and coffee (they tend to help die down the headaches) reading, sleeping, music, food and meditating.
Dislikes: She doesn't have too many dislikes, except the sun sometimes as it doesn't help with her headaches..so she tends to try and wear shades here and there depending on the day.
