Born in the great Olympic National Park in northern Washington, Sage Oakia is a descendant of Druantia the Gallic tree goddess. For decades her family has been dwelling there ruling over sexual activities & passion and of fertility for both plants & humans.
Venturing into the small community of Little Oklahoma when necessary, they prefered to stay to themselves in the forests where they dwelled.
Being the youngest of fourteen children in her family, she grew up both spoiled and with many above her to guide and nurture her. Now at the age of twenty two, most of her siblings are married and live on their own, though they all live close and stay very connected within the colony. Being the closest to their mother, Sage takes after her in most regards, including a passion for healing. Having been at her mother's side learning the art of caring for the creatures of the forest nearly since birth, Sage now takes on much of the work her mother once managed.
Her colony was the original creators of the Olympic National Park. Stories passed down for generations talk of bare lands that her ancestors cultivated and grew into the mighty forest it was in her youth.
In recent years The Morrigan has crept in destroying everything possible and has increased faster than her colony can regenerate it. This left her entire colony, her family included, vulnerable to attacks. One such came suddenly and unexpected, leaving nearly nothing of the life and home she has ever known. Her family, to the best of her knowledge did not survive the attack, though her father had managed to force her onto a raft and pushed it off to sea minutes before the attack, taking advantage of what little warning they were given. Having no control over the element of water, she was left to the mercy of the open waters before her and the tiny raft where she rested.
Unsure how long she drifted, as she fell in and out of sleep, she landed near a dense forest, which quickly became a small community as she wandered a ways from shore. She felt it best to keep to herself, staying in the forest where she felt safe. Being young, she managed to take care of herself, though she underestimated the needs she would have to provide herself now that she is alone.
Donning her human form, she becomes more familiar with the town, deciding to check on employment where she can use her abilities and skills at healing animals.
